Know an Individual Who Has Done Something Extraordinary? We Need Your Nominations!

Know an individual in your local community that has done an extraordinary deed to help someone in need or to aid the community? We need you to nominate them to be Hometown Heroes! No need for them to be famous or world-renowned. We want to know who people in the community that have great acts of service that may go unnoticed. We want those neighbors who have helped each other stay safe during tornadoes, given CPR to save a drowning child, given their time to a community organization and many more!

The American Red Cross of Greater Grand Rapids plan to honor individuals and organizations from Kent, Barry, Ionia, and Montcalm counties who have performed extraordinary deeds in our community during the past year.  These Heroes will have acted bravely in a time of need or shown an unwavering commitment to charitable service.  So whether these are people you know or perhaps people whose good deeds you’ve merely heard about, we encourage you to nominate them.  Our selection committee will review the nominations and choose four honorees to receive the award.  Chosen individuals or organizations will be notified of their selection.  Thank you for your time and consideration with this event, we look forward to honoring these true community heroes!

Please Return Your Nomination to Deanna Berkowitz by NOVEMBER 30, 2010.
