As we are rolling into hurricane season, it can seem not-as-important for us here in West Michigan to worry about having a plan, making a kit and being informed. We don’t see hurricanes, tsunamis, typhoons or any other kinds of large-scale aquatic disasters around here. However, there are plenty of disasters we DO see. House fires (hundreds every year), flooding, ice and snow storms, severe thunderstorms, electrical outages and even recently, an oil spill.
It’s important for you and your family to get Red Cross Ready — our motto ’round here is “Be prepared, not sorry.”
You can use our interactive Red Cross Ready module here and learn all you need to know.
