After the trauma of experiencing a disaster like a house fire or flood, a real, solid sense of home can do wonders for the clients we assist. Even something as simple as a kitchen where they can make dinner together or a comfortable couch and a TV where they can relax and unwind can make a big difference to getting a family back on their feet and back into their daily routines.
Land and Company, CORT Furniture and Arrow Restoration have teamed up to donate two apartments to our Red Cross chapter. These furnished apartments will be used by our disaster services clients, in place of staying in a hotel room. This donation, which goes over the next six months, will save the Red Cross about $5,000!
Thank you to Land & Co., who donated the use of the two apartments, CORT, a furniture rental firm, who furnished the apartments and Arrow Restoration who is donating the cleaning services.
