There’s an App for That.

A person can hardly throw a rock these days without hitting something that has an iPhone/mobile phone app. Everywhere I look, those fantastically colorful little boxes are whizzing around iPhone screens. (Actually, it always makes me want to play Tetris. Is there an app for that?) While some of these apps are truly wacky (including a game called Hold On!, which measures how long you can hold down a button), some are actually incredibly helpful and potentially life-saving.

First off, as a rep of your local Red Cross, I have to remind you that none of these apps, no matter how fabulous they are, are a replacement for getting real, live, classroom training. Still, they can prove to a handy resource in a sticky situation.

Apps such as:

CPR and Choking App

Close Call App

Emergency Preparedness Checklist App

iBP Blood Pressure App

Emergency Radio App

Pet First Aid App
