Volunteer Recognition Picnic RECAP!

Let’s face it…we have some pretty incredible volunteers. (That’s right, YOU…you are incredible.)

Our chapter’s volunteer to paid staff member ratio is about 47 to 1, so that tells you that in all reality, our chapter could not possibly do what we do without our volunteers. (Seriously…there is no feasible way that each of our staff members could do the work of 47 people, unless we had Time Turners à la Harry Potter…okay, nerd reference over.)

Volunteer Picnic 2009 141

This past Thursday, we threw our annual Volunteer Recognition Picnic at Little Pine Island in Comstock Park as a way to recognize some outstanding volunteers this past year, as well as show all how much they are appreciated. Between balloon animals, face painting, our Red Cross “band,” and copious amounts of picnic food goodness, it was a fantastic night. Make sure to browse through our photos and enjoy re-living the fun!

Check out our honorees (including a four-legged, furry Pet First Aid “instructor” named Zeus)…
