We Gave In and Joined Twitter!

In order to fit in and feel hip and swanky like all the other Red Cross chapters who were cool before us, we decided to bravely step forward into the new frontier: Twitter.

Yes, that’s right, readers.
We are now Tweeting with the rest of world, including Ashton Kutcher and 10 Downing Street.

So follow us on Twitter!

We plan on posting safety tips, the latest information on things like swine flu and other local/national concerns, our responses to fires and other disasters, promotions for fundraisers, and a general cornucopia of ways you can get involved and keep up with your local Red Cross!

So Tweet on, fellow Twitter users. We’re listening.
(And make sure to follow us!)

  1. Greetings!!

I just wanted to drop in and say hello! I will be interning as a public relations assistant for the Northwest Michigan Chapter in Traverse City this summer! I am really excited and have been trying to soak up as much information about the Red Cross as possible. I think it’s great that your chapter is so involved with blogging and social media (like Twitter, which I’m following!)

Will anyone be attending the public affairs courses at Calvin in June? I will be there!

    Have a great day 🙂

    • Jeanette,

How wonderful that you will be working with the TC chapter! Our last CEO here had been at that chapter for several years and just loved it. I’m glad to see that you’re doing your research on Red Cross — I’ve been here a year and a half, and am STILL learning. But it’s good!

Thanks so much for stopping by our blog, and following us on Twitter! If you ever have any questions or anything, please let me know!
